AI Voice Clone: copy a voice from a short sample
Clone a voice from a short audio clip and use it for text to speech, talking photos and lip sync, all in the browser.
Voice cloning makes a synthetic copy of a voice from a short recording. Upload a sample, and you can then type any text and hear it in that voice.
Only clone your own voice or one you have permission to use.
How it fits together
1. Clone the voice with Voice Cloning. 2. Write what it should say and generate the speech. For stock voices without cloning, see AI text to speech. 3. Put the audio on a face with talking photo, or on an existing video with lip sync.
Step by step: voice clone for lip sync and voice and lip sync from a still.
Getting a clean clone
Record in a quiet room, close to the microphone, speaking naturally. Avoid music, other voices and heavy echo, because the clone copies those too.
FAQ
- How long does the sample need to be?
- A clean recording of a few tens of seconds with one speaker and no music is enough. Longer and cleaner samples give a closer match.
- Whose voice can I clone?
- Your own, or a voice you have clear permission to use. Do not clone someone without their consent.
- What can I do with the cloned voice?
- Generate speech from text with it, then use that audio in a talking photo or a lip sync video.
